The IDE to USB 2.0 converter instantly converts any IDE storage devices into high speed USB 2.0 storage devices. It mounts directly on the back of any storage devices with its standard 40-pin IDE connector. When attached to the back of the any Addonics IDE Mobile Rack drive cradle, or the cartridge cradle of the Addonics Drive Cartridge System, any IDE hard drive can be turned into a high speed hot swappable removable drive cartridge. This adapter is USB 2.0 and 1.1 compliant, with a maximum data transfer rate of 480 Mbits/sec (USB 2.0) and 12 Mbits/sec (USB 1.1). It supports ATA 33/66/100/133 and large hard drives of 137 GB or larger with one partition. The adapter is bootable into DOS and plug and play-compliant.
