The AMP LightCrimp Plus ST connector is a no-epoxy, no-polish connector that can be terminated in less than a minute. The ceramic ferrule of the LightCrimp Plus incorporates a factory polished stub of fibre. The cable to be terminated is first stripped, then the fibre is cleaned and cleaved. The cleaved fibre is inserted into the connector and secured by crimping. Ovens, power, and polishing are not required, making the termination faster and easier. Consumables such as adhesives, syringes, needles, and lapping films are eliminated.The connector is available for 62.5/125 m fibre and is supplied complete with both a 3mm cable and 900 m buffered fibre strain relief. The LightCrimp Plus ST is fully compatible with other ST connectors and adaptors.
