The IntraCore GBIC 1000 series of transceiver modules are the perfect solution for connecting enterprise Gigabit Ethernet Switches that provide flexible, high performance Copper and Fiber connectivity in Corporate, Metro, Campus backbone, MxU and workgroup switching.Asante s GBIC 1000SX, 850nm fiber GBIC transceivers comply with GBIC Specification Revision 5.4. They are compatible with the Gigabit Ethernet standard as specified in IEEE 802.3, Fibre Channel FCPH, PH2, PH3 and FC-PI 10.0.The GBIC 1000SX have extended power supply voltage range of 3.15V to 5.5V. Although maximum voltage is set at 6V, this is not allowed for continuous operation, however, TX_FAULT and TX_DISABLE circuitry in Asante 1000SX will function at 6V.Compatible with Gigabit Ethernet networking equipment that supports the industry standard GBIC interface, network managers can inventory a 1000SX, 1000BaseT and, if necessary, a 1000BaseLX GBIC and use these Gigabit Ethernet modules across a multi vendor, multi product network. Simplified installation screens ideal for end-users and technicians.Asante s GBIC modules also offer the great flexibility for an even greater price. Depending on your existing network structure, each GBIC interface on your switches can be configured with a SX, LX, LH (long haul). LZ (extended long haul), or 1000T GBIC module.
