The ServSelect IP enables you to control all your data center computers with one keyboard, monitor, and mouse. It simplifies access by allowing connections via a TCP/IP network. That means you can access, switch between, troubleshoot - and even reboot - up to 16 attached servers and other network devices from anywhere you can establish a network connection.In addition to the port for IP access, the ServSelect IP is equipped with an analog port on the local side for traditional KVM switching functions. Connections to individual servers are made with optional ServSelect IP Server Access Modules (KV125A, Item # 4817317). Order one PC-only module for each server in your data center. All you need to link your ServSelect IP with the modules is Category 5 UTP cable. Powered by their connected servers, the modules keep alive even if the ServSelect IP loses its power.ServSelect IP software includes an on-screen configuration and activity reporting interface for local port operation. This interface features intuitive menus that make system configuration and server selection easy. You can even access multiple servers at the same time, displaying each computer s video in separate windows on your screen. A null-modem cable is also included.Use the management software to define the access granted to each computer. Take advantage of built-in groups or create your own. Customize unit and field names, icons, and macros for maximum flexibility and convenience. Using names that are meaningful to you makes it easy to quickly find the server you need.Video resolutions through the analog port can be up to 1600 x 1280 with an end-to-end cable length of up to 15 meters (49.2 ft.). Digital users can get resolution of up to 1280 x 1024 with a cable length of up to 10 meters (32.8 ft.). Although the system adjusts automatically to the optimal video parameters, you can also fine-tune the image manually and set refresh and frame rates.
