This model has no drives pre-installed so you can configure it to suit your needs, up to eight drives. It offers 48 media slots for a native storage capacity of 4.8TB (12.48TB with 2.6:1 compression) and has a native data transfer rate of 12MB/s (31.2MB/s compressed). The built-in status LCD gives you instant operation feedback, while the included barcode reader makes inventory control a snap.Highly scalable, the Scalar 100 can grow from 1-8 drives and from 15-96 tapes. Adding capacity is easy. Upgrades take less than 10 minutes and don't require changing your rack system or adding external elevators or pass-through ports.
