This model is configured with 60 slots and a 12-slot mailbox for a native storage capacity of 7.2TB (14.4TB with 2:1 compression) and a native data transfer rate of 15MB/s (30MB/s compressed). There are no pre-installed drives so you can configure it (up to six drives) to suit your needs. The status LCD panel gives you immediate operation feedback. The 250,000 power-on hours MTBF rating gives you peace of mind.Highly scalable, the Scalar 100 can grow from 15-96 tapes and from 1 -6 drives, and adding capacity is easy. Upgrades take less than 10 minutes and don't require changing your rack system or adding external elevators or pass-through ports.
