This is a 10-pack of Adaptec's AHA-2940AU UltraSCSI PCI host adapter (without software or cables).The AHA-2940AU Ultra host adapter enables you to connect high-performance SCSI peripherals to PCs and workstations. It supports the SCSI-1, SCSI-2, SCSI-3, and UltraSCSI protocols and supports up to 7 SCSI devices.UltraSCSI technology doubles the maximum data transfer rate on the SCSI bus from 10MB to 20MB per second. By increasing the throughput rate between peripherals and the desktop system, the AHA-2940AU accelerates system performance and user productivity. It also features high-performance bus mastering architecture that regulates data movement directly between peripherals and system memory. The onboard PhaseEngine RISC processor takes over I/O processing from the CPU, which frees it for other tasks.The host adapter makes true multitasking possible. SCSI technology offers unique features, including disconnect/reconnect, tagged command queuing, and multithreaded I/O, that allow the system CPU to access data on multiple peripheral devices simultaneously. All Adaptec host adapters are rigorously tested with hundreds of different SCSI peripherals and systems, which makes them the most compatible and reliable adapters in the marketplace. The AHA-2940AU is fully compatible with all popular desktop and network operating systems, including DOS, Windows, Windows NT, Windows 95, OS/2, NetWare, and UNIX.
